MAKING A LOCAL IMPACT
This year’s First Responders Southern Classic is more than just a day on the course — it’s an opportunity to give back to the brave men and women who keep our communities safe. We are proud to support two outstanding organizations: the Kannapolis Public Safety Assistance Foundation and the Cabarrus County Firefighter’s Association.
The Kannapolis Public Safety Assistance Foundation
Who They Are:
The Kannapolis Public Safety Assistance Foundation is dedicated to supporting the police, fire, and emergency personnel who serve the City of Kannapolis and surrounding areas.
Their Mission:
Their mission is to provide immediate assistance to first responders and their families during times of crisis, whether through financial help after an injury or illness, support during unexpected hardships, or resources to improve overall well-being. By offering this vital support, the foundation helps ensure that those who protect us have someone looking out for them when they need it most.
Cabarrus County Firefighter’s Association
Who They Are:
The Cabarrus County Firefighter’s Association works to unite and strengthen fire departments throughout Cabarrus County.

Their Mission:
Their mission is to promote firefighter safety, provide advanced training opportunities, and support community outreach and fire prevention initiatives. By equipping local firefighters with the tools, education, and resources they need, the association helps ensure they can serve our communities safely and effectively every day.

Salisbury Firefighters Burned Children Fund
Who They Are:
This small local chapter of the Firefighters’ Burned Children Fund supports the broader mission by participating in community events to raise funds. Their partnerships with local organizations allow them to make a meaningful difference despite their limited size and resources.

Their Mission:
Their mission is to improve fire safety and support burn survivors within their community. Funds raised go directly toward helping families affected by house fires, donating supplies to burn centers, and supporting programs like Camp Celebrate. Through grants and partnerships, they’ve provided stovetop fire stops, carbon monoxide detectors, and smoke alarms in high-risk homes—advancing their goal of fire prevention through education, awareness, and hands-on community support.
